Our History

Berkshire Christian School is committed to the mission of Christian education.

Located in the heart of the Berkshires, BCS serves students from both north and south Berkshire County as well as eastern New York State. Our campus is located at 259 Kemble Street in Lenox, Massachusetts, situated between The Mount and Canyon Ranch. Established in 1981, Berkshire Christian School is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Berkshire Christian School (K-8) was once again unanimously approved by the Lenox School Committee on June 15, 2009 in compliance with Chapter 76, Section 1 of the Massachusetts General Laws, confirming that instruction in all studies at BCS meets the same educational standards that have been established by the Lenox Public Schools. The high school received the same approval in 2010.

“The Berkshire Christian School provides a very positive learning environment for students from Pre-K through grade 8. The integrated curriculum covers all subject areas, is progressive, and provides opportunities for different learning styles. The faculty is a knowledgeable, talented, and enthusiastic group of educators.” (from the Lenox Public School’s evaluation of BCS).

As an independent school, BCS is not affiliated with a specific church or denomination.
