Berkshire Christian School is committed to the mission of classical Christian education.
Located in the heart of the Berkshires, BCS serves students from both north and south Berkshire County as well as eastern New York State.
Our campus is located at 259 Kemble Street in Lenox, Massachusetts, situated between The Mount and Canyon Ranch.
Established in 1981, Berkshire Christian School is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
Berkshire Christian School aspires to do just three things—our goal is to teach students to read, write, and reason, and to do that within the classical tradition, guided by the light of Scripture, the greatest books ever written, an exemplary math curriculum, and an effective phonics-based reading approach.
Berkshire Christian School was unanimously approved by the Lenox School Committee on February 28, 2005 in compliance with Chapter 76, Section 1 of the Massachusetts General Laws, confirming that instruction in all studies at BCS meets the same educational standards that have been established by the Lenox Public Schools.
"The Berkshire Christian School provides a very positive learning environment for students from Pre-K through grade 8. The integrated curriculum covers all subject areas, is progressive, and provides opportunities for different learning styles. The faculty is a knowledgeable, talented, and enthusiastic group of educators.” (from the Lenox Public School’s evaluation of BCS).
As an independent school, BCS is not affiliated with a specific church or denomination.
